Rwanda Environmental Conservation Organization (RECOR) is a not profit and non-governmental organization was founded in 2000 and legally registered in 2003 in Rwanda. With more than 23 years on ground implementing activities to improve community livelihoods, support smallholder farmers and to enhance the conservation of biodiversity and Climate Resilience.
RECOR as a national environmental NGO is working on different issues of the environment to ensure that biodiversity conservation, climate change adaptation and Mitigation, Forest landscape restoration, green energy, capacity building, forestry, agroforestry and agro-ecology for sustainable agriculture have positive impacts in community livelihoods and environmental management. RECOR involves local communities in looking for suitable and sustainable solutions to local environmental challenges.
RECOR has relevant experience with a skilled and experienced team, motivated and talented personnel.
RECOR has successfully implemented numerous projects and empowered local community of smallholder farmers and vulnerable community including women.

Objectives
- To Enhance biodiversity conservation and Community Livelihoods empowerment;
- To promote reforestation by tree planting and forest landscape restoration particularly on degraded landscape;
- To promote agroforestry and agro-ecology practices and other good farming techniques and high value crops for sustainable agriculture and climate change adaptation and mitigation;
- Community Capacity Building on sustainable use of natural resources to ensure sustainable environment for climate Resilience;
- Increase and Improve the use of Renewable energy and Improved Methods for Energy Savings;
